President




Sue brings more than thirty years of executive and managerial experience in the healthcare management industry to this role. As President of the Health Plan Management Group, Sue leads the firm’s health insurance consulting services for Massachusetts municipalities.  She assists clients in the management of their group health benefits program, provides clients with assistance in the interpretation and implementation of new statutes and regulations, and assists clients in controlling health care costs while providing their employees with comprehensive benefits. 

Sue was named President of the Health Plan Management Group in 2012, and served as the group’s Vice President from 2005 to 2012. Prior to that, she was an Account Manager for eighteen years. Sue’s experience prior to joining Cook & Company in 1987 included serving as an Account Executive at Blue Cross / Blue Shield of Massachusetts, where she was responsible for maintaining existing business in both the private and public sectors and for introducing new products to existing and potential clients. Additionally, Sue worked as a Production Coordinator at Newsome and Company, a public relations firm. 

Sue is a former member of the executive board of Scituate High Opportunities and Resources for Education where she participated in fundraising and providing grants to teachers at her local high school.  Sue earned a Bachelors’ Degree in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and is a licensed insurance adviser in Massachusetts. She has been a featured speaker at a number association meetings.  In her free time, Sue enjoys hiking with her dog, yoga, skiing, reading and spending time with family & friends.
