William Sullivan, Managing Director,
Bill brings a unique knowledge and understanding of injured-on-duty related issues from over forty years of professional experience in the law enforcement field.
Bill’s responsibilities at Cook & Company include developing, implementing, and managing marketing plans for services offered by the IOD Division. The IOD Division assists Massachusetts municipalities by managing claims filed on behalf of police officers and firefighters who are injured while in service to their communities. The IOD Division is responsible for reviewing medical bills, reviewing reporting and administrative procedures, coordinating medical case management, and maintaining contact with injured employees.
Prior to joining Cook & Company in May 2013, Sullivan served as the Town of Marshfield’s Chief of Police for 28 years, from 1985 until his recent retirement in September 2012. In all, Chief Sullivan served the Marshfield Police Department for 44 years, beginning as a Patrolman in 1969. He is a former Chairman of the Massachusetts Criminal Justice Training Council, a member of the Executive Committee of the Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association, and the former President of the Southeast MA Chiefs of Police Association. Bill has also taught graduate level courses at Anna Maria College and Bridgewater State College in the fields of Criminal Justice and Political Science.
Bill is a Marshfield resident who in his spare time enjoys time with his family, including his three grandchildren, and the occasional round of golf.
